Alfaisal University was honoured with the Health Workforce Development Excellence Award at the third edition of the Council of Health Insurance (CHI) Excellence Awards 2024 held on the 27th of April.
The award was presented by H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health, to H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hayaza, President of Alfaisal University, during the official ceremony. Winners were selected based on rigorous criteria- including innovation, impact, alignment with national health priorities, and contributions to improving healthcare outcomes in the Kingdom.
For Alfaisal University, this recognition comes following the university’s efforts to strengthen healthcare education through the launch of specialized academic and research programs. These include new master’s degrees in public health and health economics, which expand upon Alfaisal’s established programs in medicine, science, and pharmacy.
These programs aim to prepare a new generation of leaders in the healthcare sector, equipped with the scientific knowledge and practical skills needed to meet current and future workforce demands. These initiatives are fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the national healthcare transformation strategy.
As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation in healthcare, Alfaisal University also recently established a Health Economics Center, which focuses on delivering research, training, and practical solutions in the fields of health economics and evidence-based healthcare.
